JTime, clause by clause
Everything below was taken from a page JTime publishes. Where a clause exists it is quoted. Where a clause is missing that absence is the entry.
01Guarantee
The clause that is not there
A seller states a warranty in one of two places, on a dedicated page or in the product description. Neither carries one here. Searching their own site returns a replica warranty card sold as a boxed accessory, a brand notice, and the affiliate programme terms.
Two things follow, and only one is bad. Nothing obliges them to repair a fault, so a claim is a request. But nothing obliges them to refuse either, and their public record includes a buyer describing a problem that was put right. The point is that the outcome is discretionary rather than written.
Ours is written: 24 months on the entire watch, written down before you pay.
02Returns
14 days, four conditions
The window is genuine. The conditions attached to it are where the cost sits.
- The return policy will not apply if you have already worn the product
- The cost of return shipping is entirely your responsibility
- Please do not use major shipping companies such as DHL, EMS, or FedEx. Use the regular registered mail service to avoid entry problems
- we will not be able to provide you with a refund if we have not first obtained the purchased product back
Their own page adds the warning most buyers never reach:
“returning a product to China is not easy and it may happen that the Chinese customs will not accept your return and will return the product to you”JTime, shipping and returns
So a refund is registered post to China at your expense, with a live possibility of paying twice and waiting months. Price the watch as though returning it is not practical, because for most buyers it will not be.
03Delivery
The third attempt clause
This one is easy to miss and expensive to meet. Their page states:
“If the goods are not received after the third delivery attempt, the watch will be destroyed and we will not be able to refund the payment”JTime, shipping and returns
Be reachable on the number you give them. To their credit the neighbouring clause runs the other way: if for any other reason the watch is not delivered to you, we will carry out a new shipment completely at our expense. The routes and the declarations.
04Inspection
Their strongest published process
visual inspection under magnification and timegrapher testing to verify mechanical accuracy, then high-resolution photo and video sets from every angle for final approval prior to dispatch. Their about page adds: “If a watch shows even the smallest aesthetic defect or mechanical inconsistency, it is rejected and sent back to the factory”.
No reply deadline is published, which is the right way round. A seller who dispatches after a day of silence has made your inbox part of the transaction.
05Water
A table most sellers will not publish
They print a resistance guide by rating, and it is more honest than the marketing usually allows. Bathing is marked no, at every rating they list. Swimming is only at 10 atm and above. Diving is only at 20 atm.
“We cannot be held responsible for water damage as there is no way of knowing whether you submerged your watch deeper than what was recommended by us in the product description”JTime, water resistance
Publishing a table that tells a buyer not to shower in a watch they just bought is not what a shop does to sell more watches. Credit where it is due.
06Supply
Workshops they name
Their about page names Clean Factory, VSF, ZF and ARF. Naming the workshop rather than only the brand on the dial is the useful disclosure in this market. Quality follows the workshop, while the name on the dial settles nothing beyond the outline of the case.
