Routes, timings and what goes on the label

Most sellers say nothing about this. JTime writes down the routes, the timings and the customs practice, which makes it possible to judge rather than guess.

01Timings

Handling and transit, as published

Handling before dispatch
3 to 5 working days
Regular mail
10 to 20 days
Express
5 to 10 days
Transit routing surcharge
about $20

Handling is not padding. Their published process inspects each watch and returns rejected pieces to the factory before dispatch, which takes the days it takes.

02Routes

Three ways it can travel

Direct post, express courier, or routing through a transit country. For the third they name Hong Kong, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom. Their reason is published:

China is known for replica goods that sometimes causes a package coming from China being opened and possibly confiscatedJTime, shipping and returns

So the surcharge buys a parcel that does not arrive from the country customs associates with this trade. Whether that is worth about $20 depends entirely on where you live, and they say so.

They also warn that ordinary mail may suffer unreasonable delays or losses over which we have no control and for which we will not be able to refund you. Read that as the cheapest route carrying the risk that no refund follows a loss.

03Declarations

What goes on the form

Their FAQ names the labels used: watch, timer, gift, Fashion Watch, Repaired Watch, Toy Watch. Declared value is normally set between $15 to $50, and if customs asks a buyer to prove the price they offer to supply paperwork that matches the declaration.

Two observations. It is unusually candid to write this down at all. And a low declared value is not only a duty question, because a parcel declared at a fraction of its price is a parcel insured at a fraction of its price.

04Duty

The claim about charges

All our watches are shipped using safe routes and tricks that mitigate the risks of detention at customs. You will therefore not have to pay any customs duties or additional expensesJTime, shipping and returns

Treat that as an expectation rather than a guarantee. No seller controls a customs officer, and a claim about what will not happen at a border is the one claim nobody can stand behind.

05Attempts

Be reachable

The clause worth carrying away sits on the same page: If the goods are not received after the third delivery attempt, the watch will be destroyed and we will not be able to refund the payment

Give a phone number that reaches you, and answer the courier. The rest of the file covers what happens after the parcel is in your hands.

06Ours

How we ship

Worldwide, with photographs and film of the piece that is yours, before it is packed and no clock on your reply. Cover of 24 months travels with the watch.
